Is Elements ix uniform with windows 10?
Hi:
My brother had Elements nine 0n his PC with Windows vii and updated to Windows 10.
Elements 9 is all the same there, but he is missing some tools, like the Crop ane.
Can someone help either with an information but, preferable with a solution to arrive work well?

For very many years I've e'er used Photoshop (now on CS6) and haven't used Elements but I've always believed that Elements is just a cheaper/simpler version of its big Blood brother..
Are the 'Tools' in Elements shown in a long strip downward the left side (as Photoshop) .. and if and so.. do all of any of the individual Tools have a little (very footling) arrowhead in 1 corner of its box.. that indicate that the Tools that take that pointer practise really perform different functions and maybe he's not seeing the Crop Tool in that box..Click or but hold the cursor on the arrowhead and encounter if a box of such every bit 4 options pops out for that item box..the Crop I'm sure is in that location... perhaps only got changed so the particular box is now showing a different option for that..change it back past clicking on the 'Tools' name (when the different options popular-up) to make THAT the prominent 1 again. Mine is never changed as information technology's always CROP that I utilize on that selection.

PhotoshopElements 9.0.3 runs fine on my Windows 10 desktop.
Windows ten install does touch some apps, VirtualCD ten, for i, that have to be fixed later each new Windows 10 build.

I have Elements xi in my married woman's laptop and Elements 12 in my ain laptop. Both laptops are less than 2 years old; and a fairly loftier terminate Lenovos. I installed Windows 10 in both laptops, whereupon the Elements programs in both laptops stopped working properly. Neither would allow the "Editor" function to even load or work, at all. I have since removed Windows x from both; and reverted back to Windows 7 in both. Everything works fine, one time again. I am hoping that, one 24-hour interval, Microsoft volition fix this issue.

Just according to other posts I have to assume it is NOT the Windows that has upset it..

Did you lot try using Win 10 compatibility manner to re-install the software?
Are you enlightened of tenforums.com that has loads of people that could have assisted?

No, I didn't try the compatibility manner. Actually, I'one thousand not certain it was available when I first downloaded. I did try all the forums for almost a month afterward the download. No one seemed to have an answer to this, other than to tell me that it was working fine on there setup. Additionally, my son has a business concern that troubleshoots computer and software problems (He has been doing this for about fifteen years. He messed with it for quite some fourth dimension. Ultimately, he couldn't make it work, either. So, I removed it; and went back to Win 7. It immediately worked perfectly. I really don't see a reason to try Win ten again. If I always convince myself it is worth information technology, I will try the compatibility mode.

I have no idea. He was in charge of the staff that maintained Harmon Kardon's computer systems on the Due west Coast for 14 + years. Nigh a two years ago, he decided to open his own business. Perhaps waiting until the very finish of the free period before you upgrade is a style to go. I have not had any problems that I could non resolve afterward upgrading a couple dozen machines.
Mayhap contacting Adobe earlier you upgrade might be the way to become. Or seeing if their customer service can assistance.
